A LITTLE CLARITY ON BREAST BREAST PLASTIC

breast augmentation clarity

Whether pin-up, as big as a champagne glass or teardrop-shaped, breasts are a fundamental weapon of seduction and the desire to have them perfect pushes more and more women to have surgery to improve them. There breast augmentation it is, in fact, the most requested plastic surgery procedure in the world, with over 55.000 breast augmentation procedures per year in Italy alone.

Despite being an extremely requested procedure, it remains a very complex operation in its simplicity: every woman has different, unique breasts, and each result will be different, exceptional based on the starting shape. No natural breast is the same as another, just as no retouched breast will be the same as another.

For this reason, before undertaking a breast augmentation it is necessary to undergo a thorough examination, so that the surgeon can evaluate the structure of the chest, determine whether there are malformations or complexities such as tubular, tuberous breasts, breast apoplasia, and plan in a timely manner the most suitable operation for the type of breast.

In this way, a breast augmentation is not reduced to a simple insertion of prosthesis but becomes a real sculpture, a design of the breast studied on the patient's body, in order to choose the most suitable technique or, possibly, combine several together.

In addition to the patient's starting point, in fact, the techniques for positioning the prostheses affect the aesthetic result and the design of the perfect breast will have to take into account the most suitable procedure.

The placement of breast implants can be done in 3 ways: it can be glandular back, then behind the mammary gland, muscular back, behind the muscle in cases where there is not enough breast tissue, or dual plane, partially retro muscular, in case of slight skin sagging.

If the sagging skin is more significant, with empty and sagging breasts, a mastopexy, an operation aimed at correcting breast ptosis, returning it to its original position. Also in this case, breasts can be enlarged, either through the use of fat to better sculpt the chest (lipofilling) or by inserting prostheses.

The prostheses, an element whose choice is fundamental for the success of a breast augmentation, are of different types and various sizes and their insertion takes place through a small incision under the breast, so that the scar is thin and not very visible.
Each prosthesis is made up of a silicone casing that is highly compatible with the organism and differs substantially in the shape and consequent projection they create.

Le round prostheses, the first introduced on the market, have a semi-spherical shape and a central, fixed projection. The gel inside them can be more or less cohesive, based on the increase you want to achieve: the denser the gel, the greater the volumes. At the same time, however, a more cohesive gel corresponds to a harder prosthesis, therefore more artificial to the touch.

Once both smooth and textured have been used, following the discovery of a presumed link between textured prostheses and the appearance, in very rare cases, of Bia-Alcl, an anaplastic large cell lymphoma tumor, there is a tendency to use only smooth prostheses.

Le anatomical prostheses They are drop-shaped and have maximum projection on the lower pole of the breast: the volume is concentrated below the nipple, for an extremely natural effect. They are usually textured in order to create an "anchoring" to the breast and avoid their rotation, which is unfortunately quite a frequent complication in people who do a lot of sporting activity.

In recent years, the B Lite, anatomical prostheses whose content is composed of silicone gel to which borosilicate microspheres have been added. This allows them to be very light (they weigh about 30% less than other prostheses) but the texture is very hard and compact.

The most recent prostheses are the ergonomic, in the shape of a semi-sphere like the roundabouts but with the point of maximum projection variable. Thanks to the extremely soft silicone structure, they are able to dynamically adapt to the body's movements, effectively simulating the projection of anatomical prostheses but avoiding complications. These prostheses guarantee very soft breasts and an optimal aesthetic result.
To date, in the presence of the right conditions, they are the prostheses I prefer to implant.
