BodyTite to reshape arms without surgery

BodyTite® is an ideal treatment for patients who wish to redefine their silhouette and have localized fat with moderate skin laxity and/or excess skin and want to reshape their body, avoiding the side effects and long recovery times of more invasive procedures. It is a safe and effective procedure that allows you to achieve an appreciable reduction in body fat and significant firming in areas such as the stomach, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, arms and back.

An initial consultation with the plastic surgeon will help to eliminate doubts and perplexities, to understand exactly how the procedure will take place and what all the options and possibilities are suitable for your case. In order to achieve an optimal result, it will be evaluated whether BodyTite® is the most suitable procedure for the patient and the possible minimal variations of the treatment will be examined, based on their anatomical characteristics and needs. The BodyTite® procedure is performed in day hospital, under local anesthesia or light sedation, and lasts between two and four hours depending on the size of the area to be treated.

BodyTite® uses patented RFAL (radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis) technology to gently dissolve excess fat through a tiny, camouflaged incision in an inconspicuous spot. The equipment consists of a 17 cm long handpiece with a diameter of 2.2 mm which is inserted into the subcutaneous tissue at a depth of 5-6 cm through small holes. Controlled heat generated by radio frequency energy is delivered directly to the treatment area, stimulating the skin and soft tissue to contract and tighten, causing the fat cells to break down. Pre-treatment of fat with RFAL technology produces less traumatic aspiration and significantly reduces pain and inflammation. The BodyTite® treatment dissolves and removes excess localized fat, reshapes the contours of the body and finally firms the skin suffering from skin laxity.

Discharge normally occurs the same day. Generally, patients can return to their work and social lives within a week of BodyTite® treatment and resume sporting activity after 15-30 days.

In the following 4-6 weeks you will need to wear a compression garment 24 hours a day to reduce swelling following the procedure and to facilitate controlled retraction of the skin. The swelling, which is normal, begins to decrease over the next two to four weeks.

After surgery, massage and lymphatic drainage sessions are recommended to encourage the reabsorption of the moderate edema that occurs after tissue thermal heating.

In the first few days after surgery, the presence of slight pain, swelling, redness and bruising in the treated area will be normal.  

Your doctor will prescribe a course of antibiotics to prevent secondary infections.

Since no incisions are necessary during the BodyTite® procedure, the treated tissues are not traumatized. This approach allows you to achieve splendid results without scars and with particularly rapid recovery times.

The result of the surgery depends on several factors, such as the healing capacity and compliance with the post-operative instructions given by the surgeon: abstain from sun exposure and avoid smoking.

The results are visible immediately and definitively noticeable after 3-6 months. The treated areas will show a reduction in centimeters and a more toned and defined contour, with a notable improvement in the skin. 

To maintain the results of BodyTite® for as long as possible, it is recommended to maintain a stable weight through a healthy and balanced diet, abstain from smoking and practice moderate physical activity.

It is a procedure with few complications and very rare, although possible: bruising and bleeding, infection. 

The side effects are fewer than more invasive interventions: reduced edema, due to the absence of separation, and less ecchymosis or hematomas, thanks to the thermal coagulation effect given by the radiofrequency.
